I'm just an average 22 year old college student, currently living in Iowa. I love fiction books, mostly romance.
I truly enjoyed Claimed By Love. The setting is well described and seems like it'd be a relaxing place to be. I love how close those who live on the island are. It reminds me of a typical small town, much like I grew up in.
The characters are truly what make this story fantastic. I love the strong value of family that both the main characters have and how close they are with their own family.
Gabriella seems like a strong, fiery woman most of the time. There were a few times when I wanted to shake her and remind her she has the opportunity to change the island she loves for the better during the times she didn't want the island to change or had a hard time talking about the investment. I adore Gabriella's immediate and extended family. They seem very kind hearted, amusing, caring, and nosy.
To me, Duke's character seems more laid-back and easy going than tough businessman. His desire to get to know the residents of the island once he got there amazed me. It made me think he cares for them, their opinion, and their comfort and would put that into consideration with the investment deal. The way he communicates with the other characters pleases me. He is open and honest with them. Duke doesn't give up when things get rough.
I can't wait to read more Ryder stories. I wouldn't mind some Liakos novels either. Gabriella's brothers seem like they'd be fun to read more about.
I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
